Overview

Galaxy Air is designed to be expressive yet unobtrusive, making it a reliable and neutral tool. This wearable device works primarily on bone conduction, It allows you to reconnect to the outside world without any smartphone hindrance. It works through a set of simple gestures that make the interaction very humane and intuitive.

My Role:

I was thoroughly involved in every aspect of the project, beginning from the research to the final development stage, although my main area of contribution was regard to ethnography, sketching, prototyping, user experience, and 3d visualization. I learned many new things from my peers while working with them in the team and understood the value of collaborative efforts since this was my first team project.

It is designed to be expressive yet unobtrusive, making it a reliable and neutral tool. This wearable device works primarily through bone conduction technology and therefore it allows you to reconnect with the physical and virtual world at the same time while maintaining a firm presence and acuity.

Gestural interaction

Gestures are a strong means of communication. It has a link with how people would react to real-world objects, hence making it the most intuitive way of communication. When a user learns a specific gesture, it becomes a significant part of their user experience, also reducing the number of steps and clicks needed to perform a specific task. Easing device usage, yet increasing productivity was the essential idea, and perhaps taking the concept of gestures to its next stage was the selling point of the product.

Onboarding experience

The user has to initially connect their primary device to the Galaxy Air to set preferences and reminders based on their needs. The app also helps you to control the device, get battery status, and customize your gestures. We also learned the fact that our ear is a much better and ideal place to track our health; hence it also includes a health section that helps the user to get all-important insights and highlights of the day in one place.
